I am in at least one of those FB groups.... they make it sound like EVERY flight gets a "cheap upgrade" but careful reading also shows a lot "I never got a deal posts" The truth is that if there are 200 people in that group flying to Europe today and ONE of them got a good deal then that's what you see.. not the 199 others who didn't LOL! "Facebook" and "reliable information" are not always compatible IMHO.

and of course the Delta employed moderators only approve posts that make Delta look good. So generally post to complaining about hot D1 fairs are no upgrade. Offers are not approved.. I know this because I tracked my flight upgrade offers one time and tried to post what happened and it was denied. I didn’t post a positive story where I got a cheap upgrade to D1 therefore, that was not relevant information. 😂

I have flown to CDG and LHR in the past few months... For CDG I flew in coach and there was never a "cheap upgrade' offer (and the business cabin was booked full weeks in advance) For LHR I bought business.... when I bought there were two seats left. Those two seats went to non-revs so I bet there were never any deals there either
