From my experience, the UG professor ignores the "Seat Preferences" (e.g. "First, Front, Window"). For one flight with 1AC/4D open, I was placed into 4D. 🤙🏻🥃
I would agree. I called yesterday to apply GGUs to an SJO-LAX flight next February as U space had opened up. I called AS to take off the upgrade request and I applied the GGUs online while still on the call. The system upgraded the flights and automatically assinged us to the last row of F; row 3, in this case, as the aircraft is a 738.
All my upgrades seem to get assigned to the last row of the cabin.
