AA did it again, and BA put the cherry on top.
I had booked DUB-LHR-JFK-LAS/LAX-SFO-JFK-LHR-AGP for next December, with the outbound all inside a single day. Few weeks ago AA reduced the LAX-LAS frequency and now the evening flight is gone, making impossible to fly the outbound routing in one day. To make it up they decided to rebook me via PHX...

and over that, BA decided to change the LHR-AGP schedule moving the only flight of the day from 10:40 to 7:30, thus making the original connection from JFK (7am arrival on AA) impossible.
In the next weeks, since the trip is still months out, I'm going to ask for a more suitable rebooking, going back to the original routing via LAX even if with an overnight there, and then try to sort out the inbound (the only way to take the AGP flight is using BA112 but that I don't like a 65 min connection). Unfortunately all of this is also on AA ticket, so I'll probably have to "fight" with AA agents to rebook things to my liking (and to get all the TPs I originally planned). I noticed AA agents are less and less competent than before, not knowing rules or making up new ones (like maintaining the same number of connections) and then not knowing how to rebook four flights in a row. This is valid, in my experience, for both phone and chat agents. Maybe It could be more easy if we had a dedicated line as OWE... or we could use the AA status number?
In this moment I'm using the AA chat to fix another mangled trip. I started 1h30 ago, now I'm with a supervisor and I'm crossing my finger to be able to solve it in one session. Last time I had to try 3 times before finding someone capable.
One thing is sure: AA always delivers when it comes to schedule changes on bookings made 180 days out.
