Currently on the last night of a trip and supposed to take return flight tomorrow.
Then I just got this email about 13 hours before the scheduled departure time:
Your Flight Has Changed
Hello Fizban,
We’re sorry to inform you that due to unforeseen aircraft maintenance, we have made changes to your itinerary. We recognize the effect this has on your travel plans and sincerely apologize.
They booked me on a new flight leaving 48 hours from the original departure time!
I figured, no problem, let's activate my Chase Sapphire Preferred protection.
Reading the terms, I see this, which I never noticed before:
Any delay due to a Covered Hazard which was made public or made known to You prior to Your departure
Does this mean I'm not covered and I'm stranded with no help?
Seems kind of crazy? Every cancelled flight is announced/made public before I depart on it, no?
Anyone been in this situation before?
