We paid 350 per night for the second lowest room category via Hyatt. We got a corner room with nice view over the coast and it was OK sized.
Breakfast is at the main restaurant and on the terrace when the weather is good. Selection was limited though all essentials were there. A little bit too less selection for a whole week though.

As a starting point to discover the Amalfi coast, the location of the hotel is pretty good. The pricing is reasonable and with a rental car you can pretty easily access everything. They have a free parking garage with free valet parking, too, which was nice.
We also had bot major traffic on the Amalfi coast roads in early June, which becomes a nightmare after from April to end of May and again from mid June through the summer.

We would love a newer option hotel for our next stay but if nothing else is available, we would go there again.

However, for us the Amalfi coast is not a destination we would need to go more than once over same substantial period of time. Maybe in 10-20 years again.

We generally like the south of France or nothern Italy better.

Thank you, much appreciated. We have been many times to Italy (mostly Tuscany, Como, Milan / Emilia Romagna), but never south of Rome . So this is kind of the one time trip to cross it off the list (for now).

Your perspective helps, I have read reviews on Angiolieri and it seems it can be a bit of a mixed bag and one (sadly) shouldn't expect excellence throughout. Hence, we booked a "medium category" room with sea view & a terrace just below the Jr. Suites as the entry level rooms are somewhat small as well. This seems to be a general theme in the area even if prices push towards 500€ a night at "romantic B&Bs" and easily towards 800- 1,000 € for supposed top hotels (let's not even talk about Capri hotels). As mentioned, for the few chain options like Hilton, they are looking at 650-700 Euro per night for one of the newer rooms with Sea View and is not even publishing standard rooms in early May 2024 yet (not that one would want them anyways, but 4x 70K points with 5th night free still beats ~2K Euro and one could then spend some of the cash saved on a paid upgrade to an acceptable room ). Similarly, the Anantara (formerly NH Collection) now wants ~1,000 Euro a night for an 18-20sqm entry level room while selling at ~300-400 Euro when it was under NH brand.

For the traffic, yes I heard and read about that though (maybe naively) I'm hoping end April & first few days of May will still be manageable to get around and parking (e.g. in the Amalfi Coast towns) not be a super nightmare. We'll take a smallish rental car (and full insurance coverage with 0 deductible ) to have a better chance of getting around and squeezing through the small roads. Worst case we may need to consider the ferries from Sorrento to Positano etc. though I'm easily getting queasy on boats (well there is always motion sickness tablets I guess, haha).
