Had a recent stay at the Sheraton Boston Needham. Hotel is 15+ miles west of the airport and downtown Boston proper. Not convenient at all if you needed to be in the city, but the property is situated just off of I-95 (aka "128" to the locals) and close to Needham, Wellesley, and Babson College.
Check-in was expeditious and very friendly. Was able to get points and welcome amenity. Room was available right at 3pm check-in time.
I booked a King Junior Suite: small wet bar area with sink/cabinet fridge; small living room area with couch, two arm chairs, and a coffee table; a spacious desk area with plenty of plugs, and bed/TV area. Standard open layout junior suite with a small chest-high partition to separate sleeping and living room areas. Unfortunately, the partition walled-off a completely unusable corner in this oddly-shaped room. Standard bathrooms...one vanity/sink, shower with sliding glass doors, good water pressure/temperature - no complaints. No HVAC. Main complaint is that the room door was VERY tight. To open from outside, I had to either throw my shoulder into the door or lightly kick the door to dislodge it from the frame. Trying to leave the room, it usually took two heavy tugs to open the door. Made it somewhat inconvenient to enter/exit and made me very self-conscious of how much noise I was making when trying to open the door.
Club Lounge is on the 5th floor and is accessible 24/7 to get snacks, coffee, water, soft drinks, sparkling water. Breakfast was usual pastry/fruit spread with one hot egg item. Evening spread was meat/cheese plate, desserts, and one hot dish (such as pizza). Did not appear to serve alcohol up in the Lounge.
Had low expectations of the restaurant downstairs and expectations were met. Bar was quite bustling and understaffed; Dan the bartender was hustling every night and doing his best to make/serve drinks whilst covering the bar, high tops, and seated tables. Occasionally did see some additional staff trying to help out, but definitely had a chaotic energy. Food was fine and nothing to write home about - standard Sheraton fare (wings, pizzas, salads, a few entrees, soup of the day).
Daily parking I believe is $12.
