flying_geek - I am not familiar with NY but yes, I have made it through USC and Pre-check on a domestic flight to make a connection of 45 minutes with hand carry. OP did not state whether they had luggage.
Other item is not booked on next flight and no space could be bounced around. Possibly with all the weather delays in NE airline compensation (and supposed FAA issues) could be denied. Since OP did not say where in Canada, could still be delayed and not arrive more than 4 hours after original schedule.
Question- if there is an illegal connection is any compensation due if delayed more than the 4 hours?
I to I would be correct as posted by Karfa. But in any event it doesn't matter because MCT AY to AA at JFK is the same for I-I or I-D, 1:15.
AY-AA ID 1.15
AY-AA II 1.15
