I had a moan about the differing service on a flight out to IBZ last Sunday. The incoming flight from IBZ on Friday evening couldn't have been better!

One of the best CE experiences for many years: two in-flight leads (one in training I was told), so service was professional and fast and both ladies had time to chat to many of the passengers, including me. Although IBZ is now Band 2, they still ran a pre-meal drinks run, handed out nuts, gave an indication of food choices (but no menus), then even brought the trolley back and gave people top-ups on the return! So two drinks before the meal was served. They then started with 1C and asked each person what they wanted for food and offered another drink.

Pro-actively offered another top-up, mentioned tea/coffee was available (which I've not heard for ages), then handed me a coffee with shortbread.

Interestingly, the in-flight lead mentioned she liked to do a pre-meal drinks run as she says BA has cut back a little on CE food choices, meaning people quickly do not get their first choice, so are disappointed and the pre-meal drink often helps alleviate the disappointment. Anyone else heard this? She said it was a recent change.
