A call to the 1K line resulted in a response that there was nothing they could do at this time and that "a desk has been created to help deal with those impacted" by the cancellation. I'm hoping to get re-booked either on ANA in business on the NRT-HNL segment (since we already had Polaris seats) or on SIN-SFO-HNL (in Polaris then first). Do I stand a shot in h$ll for either one of these options? Any other advice?
Yes they set up a dedicated desk (most their likely flight recovery center) handling these rebookings and instructed all their agents to not handle, but leave it for the dedicated desk.
I’m not aure what their agreements with NH are for this, so unclear if they can have them open award space. But the SIN-SFO-HNL should be able to honor the ticket since its entirely UA metal. Best thing is to have those options ready when they follow up.
