I agree that my question was too vague.
The most important part for me was the second part of the question on how to effectively search for award seats. I've been using AA and their monthly search calendar but I've found out that availability on AA does not always mean availability on AsiaMiles, especially AA award seats themselves, is there a better way? I'm not picky on which airlines, I just want to use my points.
