If there are not enough demand, surely the Japanese would have reduced/eliminate service accordingly, no? NH is flying a jumbo (and up to 3 flights daily); while JL is flying up to 4x daily - up to 7x daily on widebody from 2 carriers alone.
Japanese usually like to fly own nation's carriers.
