Outbound on #123 - pre ordered Golden Chicken. Wrong menus loaded. Menu was for return HNL-DFW flight. But they had pre orders. Crew great. Proactive friendly. Very senior FA working our aisle referred to us as “Honey, Sweetie, Dear” a bit familiar, but ok with us. Better than unfriendly. Same old drill. Sparkling wine, OJ served on tray as pre departure. Amenity kit, head phones and water at seat. Preorders acknowledged. Drinks and nut mix after take off. Ahi Tuna with ginger and salad as starter. Golden Chicken was dry and meh. I had a strawberry sundae. First one came with the ice cream total melted soup. Replaced with frozen ice cream when I asked. Many checks if we needed any thing during flight. I skipped the Protein Plate pre arrival snack.
Inbound #8 - Same menu we’ve had last two trips. Same drill as above. Crab salad and green salad to start. Preordered the Porcini Tortellini with zucchini/mushrooms. I wasn’t hungry. Declined dinner and all food, slept all the way. Crew great. FA was concerned (in a kind way) I declined food. Told me if I changed my mind to let her know. Checked again before arrival to see if I wanted the Continental Breakfast, which I didn’t.
AA needs to dump the Golden Chicken entree. We’ve just hit the same Hawai’i menu cycle by chance. Getting a bit boring.
Just took a few bites. 🫤 meh.
