OP is flying AA from CLT so will arrive at T3 not T5 so the Sofitel would require a T3-T5 transfer

Given tired folks would likely prefer to get their head down quickly rather than faff around transferring immediately to T5 for an outbound to SIN that doesn't leave until late evening, I would suggest that the HGI at Terminals 2 & 3 is a better option, being only a short(ish) walk from T3 Arrivals to T2 and then through the short-stay car park.

Day Rooms are ~£130-£150 until 6pm, OP can then get themselves over to T5 after a refreshing nap and ensconce themselves in the BA lounge at T5B from where BA15 is most likely to depart
