We may disagree over some things - but not this.As I think has been mentioned up the thread ,I am not surprised. Probably I am inured to delays within Europe in general and to and from Heathrow in particular. It is infuriating, but try telling of a delay of this length to someone stuck on the A1/M1/M25. I am not making excuses nor "sticking up" for BA, but the reality is such and ultimately delays occur. As for Gold Greetings, I regard these as utter froth and would far prefer that the IFL get me a drink than thank me for my custom.No one has done so recently, I have survived and will manage. In fact I I find being singled out by a person with a Pad somewhat embarrassing oddly enough - but each to their own.
