We arrived from the Grand Hotel Cocumella around 1 pm. Our room was ready. There were no upgrades available due to the hotel being fully booked. I was okay with the Superior Sea View Room. It’s nicely appointed but not that large. The bed is very firm. The air conditioning worked well.

Breakfast is served on a terrace with a great view. They do not have a buffet but bring over a selection of bread, pastries, fruit, etc. You can also select an entree from a menu each morning.

The grounds are compact but there is a nice garden, sun deck, and infinity pool.

The hotel is not really near anything but the nearby deli called La Cascina and a restaurant called Ma Che Bonta are both great. You can walk down to the beach (about 25 minutes) or take a free shuttle (we did not take advantage of this but times are posted). Overall, the hotel is solid.
Anyone has had any additional experiences here? Options aren't so plentiful at the moment and I just saw the cash rates that the Hilton Sorrento loaded for next year early May and a Seaview room there will be 650-700€ per night which is a tad excessive for the place (standard points rooms are super scarce and one could be looking at a wall or so if no upgrade was forthcoming).

Angiolieri at least is bookable (again cash, shows points rooms initially but only cash rates when you click through) and Cocumella has no availability (yet). Deluxe Sea View is 375€ under SLH (I got Indulged status), but ~428€ under Hyatt (no status ) so still pondering if the points to be earned are worth it (probably not if I go by what I can buy them for through Hyatt promos).

Anyways, as we plan to be there 5 nights total, staying at Angiolieri sounds like a better experience than the much bigger Hilton and I can save ~1,500€ on top which will cover our rental car and a good couple of restaurant visits.

Thanks for any insights.
