Its not pilots they need, its aircraft. When they dumped half their fleet (Q400) they did a lot of cuts. They have taken a lot of E175 deliveries recently but even so they are only at 42 aircraft and they were about 60 with the Qs.
Didn’t they drop the Q400s largely because they didn’t have enough pilots to fly the fleet they had?
Some E175 routes (or frequencies) have gone mainline, which of course helps.
