Titanium is worth achieving (over Platinum) if you don't have Star Alliance status but need to fly it a couple times a year.
Titanium is worth something at full-service Marriotts outside the U.S., although I can't speak to the Plat vs Titanium difference since I've been LT Titanium since Titanium launched.
I do well with Titanium outside of the US. I could be Bruce Wayne and Ambassador in the USA, and I would still get a one category upgrade 😂
