Very relevant point and possibly a mistake on my part.

My ticket fare is £4255.07, booked through AMEX via my employer.

They state the fare is comprised of £3180.00 and £1075.07 “airport tax”

Question begs if “airport tax” includes at all any of BA carrier imposed charges. Is 25% airport taxes the norm these days?
