I guess my perception of the disconnect is whether the elves charged with monitoring social media have any impact on the people who make decisions of this magnitiude.Or indeed whether, in real life, accurately forecasted revenue changes are more important than individual people backing their own hunches on changes whose business impact is impossible to accurately forecast.
You would think they'd listen. Sure it would be good for them. But do they? Dan Kahneman suggests not.
