The validity of all Accor points in your account is extended by 365 days each time an eligible transaction hits your account.

But most importantly... what would be the benefit of first transferring to Accor and then to say AF or IB? Wouldn't be getting the exact same ratio? Just a year more of life assuming my mile's life counter is reset which I don't know if it will be?
Flexibility obviously. Instead of parking all your points with one airline, you have so many more options.
