rafi2k6 Well, from a holistic perspective taking into account miles and status you get top tier BA status which currently (until BA enacts its new revenue based mileage earning) gets you 100% status bonus on earned miles as BA Gold.
I personally don’t see what’s so terrible about a T5 to T5 connection at LHR — especially when you take into account the short cuts described on the BA forum if you’re just going from T5B to T5B, for example — and I actually like taking two shorter flights (as long as I can get a fullish nights sleep on the longer leg) than one incredibly long flight. I appreciate the walking and change of scene between the flights. So that’s from my perspective: others may disagree.
As to whether BA’s business class is “subpar” compared to LY’s business class — I’ll leave others who have flown on LY in business class (I never have myself) to opine on that.
Finally, cost may be relevant too. I suspect you pay a high premium for nonstop LY TLV-JFK/EWR where BA TLV-LHR-JFK/EWR is much less. Anyone know the actual figures here?
michab Thanks for the copious photos. These are all from VS TLV-LHR-JFK?
