I don't think there is any better offer out there for AS miles in connection with a credit card. I suspect that the airlines offering more miles are doing so because of a perceived lack of stability at that airline - i.e. people think they might lose their miles in a Chapter 7 liquidation proceeding so they have to offer more to get people to buy into the program.
