UA's well aware. The incremental value they could get out of selling one or two EWR-IAH flights a day as PE is outweighed by the operational complexity. UA has shown a preference for setting up a route as al-or-nothing when it comes to service standards.

In the same vein, you're potentially eligible for a CPU into a lie-flat seat on that flight. It's the market that dictates the rules, not the equipment.
