That shouldn't be a problem, however note, that a seat reservation is only valid 15 minutes after departure. So if you have a seat reservation and you don't claim it within that time, anybody else can use your seat. To avoid that, you could buy a new seat reservation from Salzburg. Should cost 3 euros with ÖBB.
