I mean GGL or not this is a very sorry experience from beginning to end. Nothing much that is positive here.
The onboard service failures speak for themselves and I am sure others will give their view. However, you should definitely complain and expect a significant gesture of goodwill.
And the guesting in to the CCR, yes I have been there before too a few times. On those occasions when I have been in F and gone to guest two, BA staff on the door have said no. I have ended up telling them to get the lounge eligibility guide out and point them to the right page and line in order to make them see it is what you are entitled to. Both their ignorance and attitude was poor, sometimes I do get a begrudging apology after they realise they were not correct. Frankly it is embarrassing.
