I bought an Apple MacBook Air via the Aeroplan eStore on April 25. After picking it up in store, I found a cosmetic issue with the device and exchanged it for a replacement in store the next day. 3 months, many emails, and quite a few calls later, I finally received the 3x Aeroplan points for this purchase today.

For the first 10 weeks, they wouldn't do anything and said I just had to wait. After those 10 weeks passed, I had to follow up a few times for them to investigate, which led to a response that my purchase was ineligible with no explanation. I followed up again, and they said I returned the device. I responded with evidence of the exchange and that I'm still in possession of the replaced device, and the case was escalated. Some more time passed before I finally got the points credit.

Sharing this experience in case others are in a similar boat. Dealing with them is like pulling teeth, but persistence does pay off. (But was it worth my time? Probably not.)
