I think that is pure speculation. Absolutely no one on here knows what AA pays these catering companies, nor do we know if they increased their reimbursements if that would get better service. For all we know the contract with AA and the vendors may be exactly the same as every other airline...or it could be vastly different. Unless you work in the contracting area of AA or the vendor, you just don't know.
