You are laser focused on "meals available", which is the ONLY piece of contradicting information.

Bottom line, as per the information given before buying a specific ticket, and as per the e-ticket, only snacks for fee will be offered.

This is not about defending AA's practices.
AA is terrible and no options of a meal on a 6hrs+ flight is horrible service. But that's what it is.

It is not false advertising. No filet-mignon or hot sandwiches advertised anywhere. Seems the best of the bunch is the coveted snack box, which is still a piece of junk and not better than the pringles or the almonds.
But that's what they offer to buy on board and is exactly as per their website.
Okay, sure, but that general information webpage about what to expect for food in the main cabin shouldn't say what it says. It's a lie. And it's not an obscure page, it's the first Google Search result if I search for "AA meals".
I am not expecting, based on that, filet mignon. But I'd sure the heck expect to have some sort of option to buy a sandwhich or something similar. And to follow up, just because my ticket says "snacks for purchase" doesn't exclude the possibility that meals would also be available for purchase given the information on the main page that comes up when I google "AA meals". The ticket may imply 'only snacks' are available, but it doesn't explicitly say that.
