AA has been very inconsistent with buy on board food options since the pandemic. I can't discern any rhyme or reason, but more often than not they have nothing available to buy in economy.
This seems to be the case industrywide-- there continue to be staffing issues at the caterers and priority is being put on getting the F meals out, so there's frequently inconsistencies in what gets loaded for BOB in coach.
