I did something dumb. I completely forgot that UA sells E+ subscriptions. I purchased a travel options bundle for E+ seating from LAS-SFO-MEL for me and two family members on the same PNR, which cost more than I could get an annual E+ subscription. I ended up subsequently buying an annual E+ subscription anyway. So now I would like to get the travel bundle option E+ seating on that PNR refunded. The site states that travel option bundles are not refundable, but that if I do a voluntary change to the flight, it will be automatically refunded. What if I change to LAS-LAX-MEL and then change it back to my original routing LAS-SFO-MEL? Will that work a refund?
