It could be an IT problem. I tried upgrading one of my flights for later this year and got an error message. So I went on chat and the agent wasn’t able to upgrade me either.
Thanks. This is not about an upgrade though. Just extra time at check in and at the gate. Last time I had them verify at the gate. Maybe that wasn't necessary, I am not sure. On my boarding pass it showed "Verification required" or something similar.
