We are flying into LAX to attend one of the Taylor Swift concerts in August. Apparently the local hotels view this as an excuse to jack up rates a la super bowl. It looks like there is spillover to other west side hotels as well. Disappointing but predictable.

I suspect we will see discounting as the dates draw near, since the vast majority of fans are likely to be local. On the plus side, I'm getting good value for my points.
