SFO-MNL is truly puzzling. I'd love to see the business case that was put together.

I'm wondering if one of the tech giants is ramping more operations in the Philippines and approached UA - maybe that is the play.

HNL-MNL was Hawaiian's highest load factor flight - yet it was a chronic money loser due to competition from PAL and severe price erosion and the route was ended.
