You said “I don't think I can sign into my Cathay account to add it“ - you can, and it works as advertised when signed in.

In other words, signed into my CX account, I can add a booking to my app where my BAEC number is in the profile. This does not change or override the FF #.

Not signed in, no clue - I regularly use the CX app and don’t see any value to not being logged in.
