I would point out your math is off when saying I could just as easily say the flight is on time 95% of the time. The math of two cancellations over a month would be the flight OPERATES 95% of the time. It is frequently late so this percentage is more like 75% or less putting the scheduled connection in jeopardy. I would have flown nonstop but we booked a couple of months ago and there was a huge difference in price (40%).

As I said, worrying over nothing.

I've had one cancellation in forty years flying. This year. Due to a minor technical fault. What could one possibly do about that being that we were already on the plane when they cancelled the flight?

Whatever happens will happen. And it'll be up to EI to sort it out.
