I get that being stuck in Doh with access to decent lounges is not really a worst case scenario. But then losing half a day at my destination in which I had booked commitments, only to realise I could actually make the connection is my problem. I am not sure why they would force you off the original flight till it really was too late. Turns out in the end the flight left a whole hour late! Some of that might have been on the tarmac but it was at the gate over and hour and ten minutes after I landed.
