Looking at Langham/Peninsula/FS, curious which one you'd recommend for someone who will prob do a lot of tourist stuffs?

Virgin Chicago and Pendry are also FHR, and curious how those compare to the Langham/Peninsula/FS in town?

Thanks!
Just completed a great staycation at the Peninsula. Would definitely say this is my top choice for Chicago.

I live in the city and had previously done a couple staycations at the Four Seasons (post remodel). Peninsula was top to bottom a better experience from the hard product to the staff to the service. Didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on food and beverage (have been to the bar before and I’d say it’s prob one of the few weak spots…visit the bar at the Ralph Lauren restaurant downstairs if you want a watering hole a few feet away). Also Pen has one of the better locations in my opinion (live pretty close by so opinion could be biased).

Langham looks to have a good hard product but I’m not a fan of the location (river views but just not my favorite part of town). There’s a new St Regis on the river that looks to have a nice hard product but once again location I’m not a fan of.

Some other places have good bars, restaurants, etc but wouldn’t necessarily call them luxury (not a knock). Chicago Athletic Association is popular with a solid bar and rooftop and closer to the museums. Have had friends stay there and said it was decent.
