This is/was how the MGM/Hyatt partnership was structured. MGM Gold or higher matched to Hyatt Explorist (Mid tier status). Explorist/Globalist matched to MGM Gold.
Believe Discoverist/MGM Pearl also matched to each other.
They likely won't follow the United/Marriott model since that's an airline and Marriott/MGM are both hotels. There's no reason why Marriott members would get preferential treatment over MGM members.
