It is pretty clear they are in a state of delusion trying to squeeze low cost margins out of a full fat operating model. xx years of trading has nothing to do with it. Since you asked so kindly, you also have to limit passengers to one item in the cabin, unless they have four arms. Or you use steps. Or you will need to ask the scheduling department for more than 45mins on the gate. One day LHR ATC won't open a slot like magic as soon as the last passenger walks through the door and 1hr late boarding will become a 3hr flight delay with punchy compensation. I certainly won't send them a tip when it happens, but a few of those would force the scheduling department (and operations) to be rather more disciplined.

No need, I don't give a toss about having to pay for it. But don't try and call a Twix a dining experience because it isn't. And if you use App an upsell the onboard food (which didn't actually look bad), then at least bother to load it onto the plane. It was on the gate for 66mins (booked 45mins) - if that isn't long enough to load sandwiches, speak to the scheduling department. I'll vote for no food but a speedy turnaround, but LH can't manage either.

Steps every time. There is a reason budget airlines prefer not to use them, it amounts to two sectors per day, per aircraft, unless you are happy to fly half empty. Speak to the scheduling department.

LHR-MUC in favourable weather is 1hr20mins, perhaps less. That isn't much less than it takes to load and disembark a full aircraft, especially if you can't roll out an airbridge on time. Most flights taking off in Europe are probably 1,500km or less. At some point, someone will solve the pantomime of short haul (3-4hrs of faff, 1.5hrs in the air) or High Speed Rail will finally get its act together and wipe it out for you. The 50% rail / air pivot in Europe is around 4hrs or 900km and that is a hefty slice of all of London's flights.

Air travel is not an aspirational experience any more - it exists and we put up with it, because it is quicker to fly around the world than sail.

It might not matter to you, but the people who served you these Twix were able to go back home to comfortable beds, to recharge without worrying about paying their bills. And that will always be a reason to choose classic over low cost. I also wonder if a low-cost carrier would have provided blankets to the group of stranded passengers.
Can you name another sector where customers are seriously expected to pay more, for a worse service because the staff are better paid? Budget airline crews are far better paid than most employees in upscale hotels. If you want to know what they really earn, choose a seat at the rear of the plane. You'll get out straight out, as long as they don't use an airbridge. As they get keen salaries and even sharper commission there is less chance of them turning the other cheek to the idea of taking off with no food to sell.

A low cost carrier wouldn't offer connections of course - if you want to fly London to Singapore, get on a plane that goes there. Don't make promises you don't intend to keep - customer satisfaction is expectation vs reality. Something you might want to mention to the scheduling department.

Unlikely, given the booked arrival was too late for the last take off. These were not booked connections, it was for another delayed departure. 4 hotels on site, but they won't put up passengers. Low cost carrier, pretending to be something better.

Jobsworth mentality for 3 people in 3 Lufthansa vans to spend 1 minute looking at the wing and refuse to help disembark an aircraft, because it isn't their thing.
