Had recent stays at kila/dari as a first time Aman visitor, fine stays but would not return to either, and I wont be blindly seeking out Amans in the future. (Capella Ubud was absolutely amazing though)

Kila- Pros: Amazing service, probably the best we had in Bali. GM was very active during our stay and talked to us on 3+ occasions. Food/drinks top notch quality.
Cons: I read a lot about the trash on the beach before my visit, and figured "Okay, the new GM is clearly aware, and this will improve" - I did not realize that even with 2-3 employees working full time on trash removal, the location of Amankila makes it so that there is nearly nonstop flow of trash buildup on the beach. Food/drink prices around 60% higher than Dari/Capella. Even though its in a more remote area in Bali, the trash/oil tankers take away from the vibe and make it feel like "another luxury hotel in Bali". Lastly, the food options became extremely repetitive. I'm sure this resort was truly amazing back when it opened.

Dari- Pros: Insane pool views on a clear day, truly like staying in a luxury balinese village. Beautifully designed room with a gorgeous view. Amazing housekeeping service as expected.
Cons: Bathroom smelt like awful body odor our entire stay from the moment we arrived. Heavy construction noise from the villa next door our whole stay (Hammering, wood cutting) and was not warned about this before the stay. Lastly we had an annoying snafu where we showed up for the sundowners experience we booked 3 weeks prior and nothing was set up (due to slightly wet conditions from earlier in the day), when we arrived they tried to talk to us about moving it to the next day which did not work for us. We complained and they set it up 20 minutes later with us having to wait, they were a little apologetic but did not do anything else to remedy the situation and still charged full price. GM nowhere to be found during our stay, and we did not complain about any of this although I did consider it.

I did venture over to Mandapa and had one of the best meals of my trip at Sawah Terrace, I was pretty "Wowed" at the Mandapa experience and being shown the resort on a golf cart. Lastly, Capella was the real highlight of my trip and I would recommend that resort to anyone.
