I had. that issue with an Avios booking (with ba 241, guf, etc) where the contact centre said it will cost £x. Next day I've got a surprise that my official e-ticket receipt showed a completely random and different amount. Called BA and was told yes it happens and no I was charged the correct £x amount. just go to MMB and email from that e-ticket receipt which now showed the correct amount.
