BOS-LHR Club Suite Experience

After ~5 year hiatus from BA we traveled BOS-LHR 787 with the Club Suite. Overall a mixed bag, BOS lounge was excellent with some incredible bar tenders, good food and great service. Onboard I found the Club Suite to be a significant upgrade and overall an excellent inflight experience over the old CW seats, but clearly aimed more at the solo traveler (no surprise).

Where it went South for us was the catering, I can honestly say the food was truly atrocious. I had the lamb for dinner but I'm convinced I was served someones used crocs. The entire meal service was excellent by the crew, but food truly abysmal (both dinner and breakfast). Call me out of touch (its been 5 years), but I was looking forward to the bacon roll for breakfast, but again got served something on a brioche bun that was truly awful. My youngest daughter was also commented on her disappointment that BA appears to have stopped stocking Cadbury Chocolates (especially Cadbury Buttons) in the Club Kitchen, and instead offers other chocolates she wasn't impressed with.

Cabin crew were outstanding and aircraft spotless. Arrival in T5 was a bus transfer from a hard stand (fast and efficient) and much to my surprise we were in and out of immigration in a few minutes via the e-gates.

Overall a pleasant experience.
