Not much in it really. I had an op up to J outbound when I took CX premium economy, so these do happen, probably it's a touch more likely on BA. On the way back I found CX premium economy quite uncomfortable, but that was after quite a long day and a late flight and I wasn't in the best frame of mind. You do generally get slightly better status recognition in CX, but it would be all about timings for me, not the actual product.
