Some ryokans can be weird that way - even when many prominent booking engines, as well as their own(!) - show no availability, some other sites (often Rakuten travel or JTB) do show room availability. Btw, if budget allows, I'd still go with Fufu, especially if you can swing a high category room. You can rent an e-bike at the property, and it's just a few minutes to the Kawaguchiko lake shore. And the overall experience is a bit better than Ubuya.

Kishi-ke (and anywhere in the Kamakura vicinity) doesn't offer any views of Fuji, although you can get decent views on a clear day from the Enoshima area.



Assuming it's relatively clear, you'll can get a wonderful view of Fuji from the Owakudani observatory (which can be accessed by car/taxi, and is also a stop along the ropeway.)
