I have a one-night points stay followed by a 5-night points stay at the same property, then onto a one-night stay (BRG) at another and then back to the 1st property for another 5-night points stay, all in one city. I had to change my 12-night stay period twice so this would be the 3rd BRG I would be putting in for the same property on separate dates (I cancelled the other successful BRG claims as they were no longer needed). This 3rd one was denied stating:
"Per the Terms and Conditions of Marriott Best Rate Guarantee, under Verification Process: Claims made against only a portion of your entire scheduled stay will not be honored. Multiple claims for a stay consisting of two or more nights in the same week or in a 7 day period at the same Marriott hotel or Marriott hotels in the same geographic location (e.g. city) may be treated as one claim for one stay, even if booked through more than one reservation. With this being said, I am required to review your claims for the entirety of your stay from arrival on August 10, 2023 through departure on August 22, 2023."
Is this correct in that even though it's a points stay they have to look at the cash rate of the surrounding points bookings because the stays are surrounding this one night I am trying to BRG? Sorry, Im just a bit confused as this is a single claim for a 1-night stay, not multiple claims for 2-nights or more either. On top of that, the first 2 BRGS went through just fine with nothing changing except for the dates (in terms of 11 nights on 3 back-to-back stays.)

Reason: Forgot about the 1-night points stay before my first 5 night stay
