That's one of the good things about Choice Privileges points as they currently work, they let you select any room that's available on points for the exact same number of points.
We just came back from Stockholm (Hotel C), and using choice points is an absolute bargain in an otherwise expensive city. Especially since like you say, you can choose a 'deluxe' room.
