The idea that within a tier, or within the same cabin there should be an elite within any elite at the airport is just selfishly bonkers.

Indeed. As is not infrequent here, the attitude of "the line should be higher and should be drawn just below me" is showing its ugly head.

If flying EDI-LHR repeatedly you need 25 returns for silver, not 60.
