I would never use a suite upgrade in this property as the suites are not worth it. For me personally, especially when going for 1-2 people, I prefer the Deluxe room, as it feels more spacious (no separate loving room though).

The grand view suite, which I booked cash last time to see it, is surely a nice room but the regular suites are not so great that I would want to stay there.

But what we got when we used an SUA at this hotel in April was the Grand View Suite, and another commenter mentioned the same thing, above. Maybe it was a relatively low season or something, but they went above and beyond with the suite upgrade and the service when we arrived. I figured that because we were Globalists AND we used an SUA they went beyond the standard suites available for complimentary upgrades.

I've had similar experiences in Asia when using SUA. So yeah if you're there regularly for business I can understand not wanting to burn an SUA, but I never use SUAs for business trips and just take whatever the hotel has to offer me as a Globalist (in some cases, some very nice suites, but I don't expect that), but when I travel for leisure with my family we have plenty of SUAs (we had 5 this year because of a promotion). I've noticed in some places hotels will go beyond the standard suite for SUA using Globalists. In any event that was our experience here.
