Don‘t. While I like that place and I‘m there every other year, here is why.
1)August. Lot‘s of screaming kids (including perhaps mine), full house. Been there, done that last August. Might be a bit less in late August, but still.
2)August. While not too hot, it is pretty hot as soon as you don‘t catch the breeze. Aircon is good by European standards, less so in the club lounge. Avoid.
3)Distance. With 7 days going there and back eats half a day each, at least, probably more.
4)Boring. Don‘t get me wrong, I like that boring place, the villas are kinda cool and sometimes I like it boring pretty much. But, if you are looking for something else than a great semi-private pool and fantastic dining, stay away. There is nothing around, every trip needs quite a bit of time and yes, the volcano is worth a visit but than, there is no lack of stunning volcanoes in the Americas.
