You can do what you’re asking, but I think it’s important to note that available seats in E+ at checkin time is really variable depending on day/time, and it’s not super likely you can get 3 together at T-24.
If that’s the only reason for a status match you may find yourself disappointed if you’re not able to get the seats together and a better option may just be to buy the seats outright if it’s important.
thanks- it isn't that important- but figured if I could snag it, it might be worth the time to enter the info - I would only be out the time and the chance to do it again for 5 years, and based on my home airport (RDU) and future travel plans as my daughter goes to school and travel decreases, I likely won't be getting status with United anytime soon.
I have been lucky with AA getting their premium economy seats (four times got three in a row) at T-24 hours. Maybe my luck will continue!
